Welcome to Taqwa Arts, where tradition meets modern craftsmanship. Every product we create reflects a journey of passion, faith, and a love for beautiful Islamic motifs. But how did this all begin? Let us take you behind the scenes and share the story of how Taqwa Arts came to life.
Humble Beginnings: A DIY Project at Heart
The seeds of Taqwa Arts were planted at the end of 2023, sparked by a simple DIY project. Heera, a passionate biotechnologist with an eye for home decor, envisioned adding a unique touch of Islamic artistry to her living space. Her ideas needed more than just imagination; they required technical precision to become reality.
That’s where Yasar stepped in. As an industrial engineer with a knack for problem-solving, Yasar was self-taught in CAD (computer-aided design) and 3D printing. Together, this husband-and-wife duo combined their talents, turning Heera’s home decor dreams into tangible, beautifully crafted pieces.
A Fusion of Skills and Passion
The synergy between Heera’s artistic vision and Yasar’s engineering expertise created something truly special. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a shared passion for creating Islamic art that blends tradition with modern design.
One of their first creations was a set of mini masjid lanterns, designed to bring a warm, spiritual glow to any room. They also began crafting stunning Arabic calligraphy pieces, mihrabs, and other Islamic-inspired decor. Each piece was meticulously designed to combine timeless Islamic motifs with a sleek, modern aesthetic—perfect for elevating any home or office space.
Today the lantern family includes the Barakah Lantern Set of 3 and the Trellis Oasis Ramadan Lantern, and the calligraphy line has grown to pieces like the Hub (Love) Arabic Calligraphy Art and the SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar Calligraphy Decor.
Realizing a Larger Vision
As the couple began sharing their creations with friends and family, they quickly realized they had tapped into a niche market. Islamic home decor that is contemporary yet deeply rooted in tradition was something people were searching for, but couldn’t easily find. This sparked an idea: why not share their creations with the world?
And so, Taqwa Arts was born—a brand built on love, creativity, and a shared vision to elevate Islamic home decor.
