A modern tribute to tatreez, the cross-stitch embroidery of Palestinian dresses: staggered rows of the saru (cypress), a symbol of steadfastness and long life, with chicken-feet fillers, in wine red, orange and green on near-black (the rich wine and orange tones associated with Hebron embroidery).

This is our own composition, drawn stitch by stitch: every motif is built from x-stitches on a woven linen-look ground, with the small irregularities of hand embroidery, and a stitched border that runs to the edge of the case. Printed, not embroidered.
