A modern tribute to tatreez, the cross-stitch embroidery of Palestinian dresses: rows of eight-pointed stars with small lozenges, each row closed by a stepped border, in red, saffron and green on black (the black-ground, saffron-accented palette associated with Bethlehem).

This is our own composition, drawn stitch by stitch: every motif is built from x-stitches on a woven linen-look ground, with the small irregularities of hand embroidery, and a stitched border that runs to the edge of the case. Printed, not embroidered.
