A modern tribute to tatreez, the cross-stitch embroidery of Palestinian dresses: columns of warda (roses) with paired leaves, in magenta, plum and pink on black (the purples and pinks associated with Gaza-area embroidery).

This is our own composition, drawn stitch by stitch: every motif is built from x-stitches on a woven linen-look ground, with the small irregularities of hand embroidery, and a stitched border that runs to the edge of the case. Printed, not embroidered.
