About this design
Be Like Yusuf (AS) by AdabStars: In a world of grudges, be like Yusuf (AS): the prophet-lesson design about forgiveness.
Part of the AdabStars prophet series: one Qur'an story and lesson per design. Collect them all.
What's printed
Front: Reads "IN A WORLD OF GRUDGES, BE LIKE YUSUF" with a small (AS) after the name, eleven small stars arched over the sun and the moon, from his dream, and the reference Qur'an 12:90-92 under it.
Back: the story from the Qur'an, with its reference:
When the brothers who had wronged him stood before him and said, "we have been sinners," Prophet Yusuf (AS) did not take revenge. He said, "No blame will there be upon you today. May Allah forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful."
Qur'an 12:90-92
Quoted words are the Saheeh International translation; the rest summarises the cited verses. English meaning only: no Arabic text is printed.
The lesson
Let go of grudges. Yusuf had every reason to get even with the brothers who hurt him, and he chose mercy instead, and asked Allah to forgive them.
Who it's for
For Muslim kids, siblings and cousins learning the story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) at home, in weekend Islamic school or Quran class. Great for Ramadan, Eid and family gatherings.
